Cobra replica company Factory Five have branched into the supercar world with their bespoke racecar lookalike GTM kit.
The GTM will accept any LS series Corvette engine, right up to the 505bhp 7-litre V8 from the Z06. In this guise, the GTM is capable of 0-60mph in 3 seconds flat and an 11 sec standing quarter mile, transmitted through a Porsche 6-speed manual. Top speed is somewhere between 180mph-200mph.
The GTM is designed in-house, with a composite body sitting on a bespoke space frame chassis with Aluminium sub-panels, contiruting towards the impressive 2435 lb kerb weight. Cooling slats and ducts are complemented by an enormous rear wing and Le-Mans type 'roof scoop'.
Developed and exhaustively tested in real world conditions, the quality and reliability is a match for more mainstream exotica.
Self build kits cost from just $25k. A fully built LS6 based model should set you back around $50k (works out around £65k in the UK). Astonishing value considering the supercar beating performance on offer.
