Revealed at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Ginetta's new Akula supercar is
The Akula's front/mid mounted 6 litre V8 is good for 600bhp and 200mph, while the ceramic brakes provide an equally impressive 1.2g braking force. Power is transmitted through a race style 6-speed sequential gearbox.
Thanks to their racecar experience, Ginetta have bestowed the Akula with LMP levels of handling. The carbon fibre monocoque and bodywork tip the scales at just 1150kg and feature a miriad of scoops, spoilers and intakes, topped off with an enormous rear wing.
However, It may have the performance, the pedigree and the handling, but it certainly doesn't have the looks. Form following function has never been a more appropriate statement!
Seems expensive at £340k with taxes in the UK, but you will be getting a bespoke, track honed weapon. A drivers car with something a little different from your run of the mill supercars. We wish them every success.
