Profile |

Named after the world's largest diamond, the Rolls Royce Cullinan follows Bentley into the world of the luxury SUV.
Power is from the ubiquitous 6.75 litre V12, twin-turbocharged to produce 563bhp. Sounds a lot, but the Cullinan weighs in at almost 6000 lbs, so straight line performance and handling is best described as adequate. Talking of handling, the Cullinan uses the same 'architecture of luxury' platform as found on the Phantom VIII. Predictive air suspension uses a camera to scan the road ahead and adjust damper settings accordingly. Manouverability is assisted by the 4-wheel steering setup.
Like the Cayenne before it, Rolls' first SUV is lacking in the looks department. It does however make up for that with a stunning quality interior, on a par with it's illustrious siblings. Seating is for 4 or 5, depending on whether the individual or bench seats are specified.
At a reassuringly expensive £264k without options, the Cullinan is £80k more than a Bentayga and a whopping £160k more than a Range Rover Autobiography. We doubt this will be a problem for potential owners!
