Although first developed back in 2013, the Russian built Aurus Senat was first shown as a true puchasable production model at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
The Senat comes in standard (S600) and long wheelbase (L700) formats. Power is courtesy of a Porsche dveloped 4.4 litre V8, assisted by an electric motor to produce a combined 590bhp. Drive is transmitted through no less than a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The interior offers all the luxury expected of a car in this class, including reclining seats and built in fridge with bespoke crystal glasses.
Customers have the option to mimic the Russian Presidential motocade with the addition of armour plating to the Senat, adding considerably to the quite reasonable £128k base price, abd bringing the kerb weight up to a humungous 6 tons!
On sale from 2019, the presidential Senat could eventually become a true rival to Bentley and Rolls Royce.
