Profile |
|
Celebrating their remarkable racing success, Ford have taken the hugely desirable GT road car and turned up the wick to create the GT MkII.
This track only beast boasts 700hp (50hp up on the road car) from it EcoBoost V6. It's track credentials are enhanced by the fitment of Michelin Pilot Sport GT tyres, an FIA roll-cage, straight pipe exhaust, ceramic brakes and adjustable Multimatic DSSV dampers. The GT can now generate in excess of 2g lateral grip.
Always a visually striking car, the MKII takes aero a stage further with a fixed rear wing and prominent roof scoop. On the interior, the passenger seat can be deleted to create that race car feel.
Just 45 MKIIs will be produced. The price? A whopping $1.2m (just under £1m). You'd have to be a pretty serious Ford nut to shell out three times the asking price of the equally special road going GT.
