Profile |
|
The impressive new GT sits in a category of its own in McLaren's Sports/Super/Ultimate series line up.
Based on the platform of the 720s, the GT features a variant of the twin-turbo V8, providing 620hp, good for 0-200khm in just 9 seconds.
Although pitched as a GT, this McLaren gets the Monocell II monocoque chassis to ensure lightwweight and aid handling. The GT comes with just 2 seats (unlike the 2+2 of most competitors in this market) but offers plenty of room for luggage with 570 litres total storage in the front and rear boots. A sleek shape with 21 inch alloys and dihedral doors give the GT a supercar look. A new 12 inch infotainment system finally brings all functions into a single interface.
Deliveries are due to start late 2019 at a quite reasonable £163k asking price, plus options of course!
