The Jannarelly Design-1 is a simple, lightweight speedster, designed to bring back the thrill of an old school driver focused sports car.
Powered by a 3.5 litre 320bhp Nissan V6, the super lightweight speedster weighs in at under 1800 lbs, making acceleration brisk at 0-60mph in 3.7 sec. Max is just 135mph, which is fine for the purpose of this car. A traditional 6-speed manual with LSD puts precise control back in the hands of the driver.
The fibreglass (or optional carbon fibre) bodywork is reminiscent of the open sports racers of the 50s and 60s, in particular the legendary AC Cobra. A small speedster windsrceen is standard, with the option of a full roadster screen. It's diminutive size of just 150 inches long, is a welcome contrast to the ever growing army of huge SUVs on our roads today.
The Design-1 is limited to 499 units, retailing at a tempting £85k in the UK, although this can be taken far higher with a hefty list of available options.
