The Ghost Black Badge joins the Wraith in Rolls Royce's line up of sportier versions of their luxury automobiles.
The Black Badge retains the Ghost's 6.5 litre Twin-Turbo V12, but with a modest power increase to 603bhp. Top speed is unchaged, but 0-60mph is cut by half a second.
The whole car is lowered, de-chromed and fitted with 21 inch alloys to give a bolder, more aggressive look to suit it's sportier intent. On the inside, carbon fibre and Aluminium replace burr walnut, to continue the more modern take. RR hope this will appear more to a new generation of younger, self made buyers, who will more than likely drive the car themselves.
The Black Badge attracts a premium of £35k over the standard Ghost, retailing at around £260k in the UK.
This may well be the last model refresh before the launch of the Series III in 2020/21.
