Profile |

Created by Pininfarina for the 1955 Turin auto show, the one-off 375 MM Sport Speciale was the cumulation of a short run of Ferrari 375 MM Berlinetta road cars.
With a Formula One derived 340hp V12 powering a featherweight aluminium bodied 900kg, the Speciale was good for around 175mph - in 1955!
Although from the mid 1950's, the Speciale showed many design features adopted in later Ferrari models, including iconic front wing vents and louvres on the rear windows. The American style rear 'fins' were a more questionable design decision.
After being full restored in the early 2000's, this multiple award winning Speciale was sold at auction in 2011 for around £3m.
