Lexus' entry into the super sallon market was signalled by the arrival of the GSF in 2016.
Lighter than its main rivals, but not as powerful, the 467 bhp 5-litre V8 is nevertheless the best sounding. Performance is good, if not exceptional, with 0-60mph in around 4.5 seconds and a 168mph max. However, despite having 8-speeds, the GSF is let down a little by its clunky gearbox.
Interior quality and features is excellent, with most kit coming as standard. Comfort is surely the best in class.
The GSF is aimed at those who want a more luxurious, less all-out handling experience than that offered by rivals from BMW and Mercedes, and at £71k in the UK, it was definitely worth a look. Unfortunately Lexus withdrew the GSF from the European market in 2018.
