Profile |

The Le Mans inspired 993 GT2 burst onto the supercar scene in 1995. Based on the 993 Turbo, the GT2 found even more performance thanks to a power boost to 430bhp and a weight saving of nearly 300kg. This weight saving was achieved through the use of aluminium body panels, lightweight racing seats and the removal of the Turbo's soundproofing and rear seats. Acceleration was truly stunning, with 100mph from standstill in just 7.2 seconds (second only to the McLaren F1).
Just 50 of these road racers were built, many finding there way onto the track where they really came into there own.
