Profile

Nostalgically named after Formula One's first world champion, UK based Ascari first showed the Ecosse back in 1993. Based on the Lee Noble designed FGT racer, the glass fibre Ecosse was powered by a Chevrolet V8. This was later to be replaced by BMW's 400 bhp 4.7L unit for production models.

The model struggled to make it's mark against more established competition from Ferrari and Porsche, resulting in just 17 examples being produced. It is hoped that the Ecosse' successor, the KZ-1, can compete on equal terms.
