When a new manufacturer enters the scene with claims of a 1000bhp/ton record breaking 'race car for the road' we may be forgiven for thinking it's the same old story, here we go again. But this time the people behind these claims are the team that were responsible for the McLaren F1, so it's time to sit up and listen!
The astounding Caparo T1 looks set to re-write the record books. Acceleration from 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds and 0-100mph in just 5 are a match for even the mighty Veyron ... but then the T1 promises more! Race car dynamics with monumental downforce bestow the Caparo with unparalleled levels of grip. Cornering and braking forces are claimed to be in the region of 3g !
Practicality obviously isn't it's forte, but the figures alone will put the Caparo in a league of it's own as the ultimate road legal track day car.
Unfortunately the Caparo failed to attract customers with only 25 units sold by the time production came to an end in 2016, and along with it any trace of the proposed 700bhp T1 Evo.
