Despite Porsche's assertion that they have made 'hundreds' of changes, it would take an experts eye to distinguish the new 987 Boxster S from it's visually identical predecessor. That's not to detract from the new model though, as it is indeed one of the finest sports convertibles available today.
Power is now courtesy of the Cayman's 3.4 Litre flat 6, upping the Boxster's output by over 30bhp, with a corresponding drop in acceleration times. Along with the power increase, the Boxster S features the latest PASM system, adaptive seats, adjustable rear spoiler and optional (but expensive) carbon discs. All this contributes to an impressive 8:18 lap of the Nurburgring.
A superb interior restyle completes the picture to make the Boxster S the sports convertible of choice for the enthusiastic driver.
