Profile |
|
The Briggs Automotive Company (aka BAC) Mono is a highly desirable track biased single seater pitched against the likes of the Radical SR4 and Ariel Atom.
This aggressively styled pseudo race car is powered by a 280bhp Cosworth engine mated to a Formula 3 paddle shift gearbox. 520bhp/ton gives sub 3-second 0-60mph sprints with a 170mph maximum. The handling is supreme but the ride is surprisingly pliant, making a (small) argument for it's suitability as a road car.
Then there is the price. £110,000 is way up on most of it's rivals. So it's up to prospective purchasers to decide if the Mono's visual drama and bespoke nature makes it worth the premium.
