Road racer built to celebrate Bentley's long awaited return to motorsport. A limited edition (of 300) based on the Continental V8S, the GT3-R is clearly track focused, in a similar vein to the Aston Martin GT12 and Porsche GT3. There are many motorsport styling cues (including a sporty but rather garish interior trim) and weight has been reduced by around 100Kg. Still tips the scales at over 2 tonnes, but it still handles well and the weight doesn't seem to stem it's astonishing acceleration - the standing quarter mile is despatched in under 12 seconds, on a par with a Ferrari F40!
Price is steep at almost £240,000 but that's on a par with similar limited edition offerings from other manufacturers and it is a Bentley after all!
