Bentley's second generation Continental Supersports is claimed to be the world's fastest full production four seater at over 209mph.
This headline grabbing performance is thanks to a whopping 700 bhp and 750 lbft of torque from Bentley's refined 6-litre W12. Despite weighing in at over 5000 lbs, it also despatches the 0-60mph sprint in under 3.5 seconds.
Bentley have put a lot of effort into giving the Supersports a more sporting character with the inclusion of 4WD with 60% rear bias , plus torque vectoring by brake. They have partly succeeded, but the Supersports still feels like an agile GT rather than a sports car.
There can be no complaints about the fit, finish and customisation options though. With a variety of duo-tone paint options and carbon fibre trim, all tastes can be accounted for.
However, at a starting price of £210k, it is £50k more expensive than the already excellent Continental GT Speed. Difficult to justify a 30% premium, but for those with deep pockets, the Supersports is without doubt the pinnacle of Bentley's Continental model line.
