Profile |
|
German coachbuilders Xenatec took the super-opulent Maybach 57S saloon and created a stunning handbuilt luxury coupe.
Reminiscent of the Mercedes CL, the Xenatec coupe has the same flowing lines but with an altogether higher level of exclusivity. The high quality conversion includes many new body panels, bespoke alloys and refridgerated champagne compartment.
At almost 6 metres long and weighing in at 2.7 tons, the Xenatec is a gargantuan car. However, with a 6 litre 600bhp twin-turbo V12 at your disposal, progress is unsuprisingly rapid.
200 of these imposing coupes were originally planned at over £700k each, but just 8 were produced before Xenatec went bust in 2013. Considering Mercedes' own CL 65 AMG retailed at around £150k, Xenatec were perhaps a little optimistic on the pricing front.
