The Iso Lele (sometimes referred to as the Iso Rivolta Lele) was produced from 1969 until the folding of the company in 1974, replacing the aging Rivolta GT.
Available as either a 3-speed auto or 5-speed ZF manual, the Lele was originally powered by a Chevrolet 327 V8, but swapped to a 5.7 litre Ford unit from 1972. With up to 360hp (in 'Sport' trim) , top speed was around 155mph, very respectible for the early 1970s. The Bizzarrini crafted chassis was shared with other models in the Iso range.
Styled by the legendary Marcello Gandini at Bertone, the Lele featured 2+2 leather seating, 'semi' pop-up headlamps, and even air conditioning, a rarity in those days.
Values have picked up in recent years, although a Lele can be yours (if you can find one) for under £50k.
