Bentley's Mulliner division have returned to the bepoke coachbuilt market with their limited edition Bacalar roadster.
Based on the Continental GTC, with cues from the EXP100 concept, the 6-litre W12 engine is boosted to around 650bhp. With a 0-60mph sprint of 3.5 seconds, and a 200mph+ top speed, Bentley claim this is the fastest convertible they have ever made.
The roofless 2-seater aluminium and carbon-fibre bodywork is certainly striking in it's 'Yellow Flame' hue, but doesn't quite work from some angles. However, the ethically sourced interior is fabulous, exceeding even Mulliner's usual exquisite standards. There are no less than 148,000 stitches throughout!
Despite the ridiculous £1.8m asking price, all 12 examples are already sold. Bentley say this is just the first in a forthcoming line of exclusive (read expensive) coachbuilt cars.
