Hot on the heels of the new M5 comes BMW's long overdue successor to the M635 in the form of the stunning new E63 variant M6. Basically, BMW has taken the M5's magnificent V10 and clothed it with a stylish new coupe body. Being 100kg lighter than the M5, the carbon roofed M6 is the fastest accelerating car BMW has yet produced, all of which helps it to an impressive 8 minute lap of the famous Nurburgring.
Like in the M5, a press of the magical 'M' button releases the full 507bhp, at the same time altering the suspension and gearchange settings for optimum progress. You also get a full complement of goodies such as stability control, sat nav and even a head-up display. At the end of the day you only have to ask yourself one question - Does a sleek coupe body justify a £20,000 premium over the M5? Thought not.
